(Rougemont) Two septuagenarians went off the road Tuesday evening in Rougemont, in Montérégie. We fear for the life of the passenger.
The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Principale Street in Rougemont. “The vehicle was traveling eastbound before the collision, then hit a post at the edge of the street,” said Stéphane Tremblay, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Two people were in the vehicle, a 71-year-old driver and a 70-year-old passenger.
Both individuals were injured and taken to hospital. The woman is currently in critical condition.
A police officer specializing in accident scene reconstruction went to the scene to better understand what caused the road trip.
