The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, is expected in Mayotte this weekend, according to information from franceinfo collected from the minister’s entourage. Gérald Darmanin will arrive in Mayotte on Saturday and will leave on Sunday.
Water deficit issues also addressed
This trip by the Minister of the Interior comes two months after the launch of the “Wuambushu” security operation, aimed in particular at combating unsanitary housing by destroying part of the slums and evicting people in an irregular situation.
