Clashes ensued in this town in the northern occupied West Bank, and missiles were fired from an Israeli helicopter. The three men who died were aged 15, 21 and 29, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The Israeli army said it was carrying out an operation aimed at arresting “wanted suspects”. “Army helicopters opened fire on gunmen to help extract soldiers”, reports a press release. A military vehicle was damaged by one of the many explosive devices launched in the direction of its soldiers. These latter “responded to live ammunition”says the army.
