(Montreal) The emergency services received several calls Sunday evening to report a person found lying on the ground in an apartment on Saint-Joseph Boulevard near Sainte-Marie Street in the Lachine borough, in Montreal.
According to information from the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) Véronique Comtois, the victim, a man in his fifties, bore marks of violence on his body.
Resuscitation maneuvers were carried out, without success. The man was declared dead on the spot.
A security perimeter has been established to protect the scene.
Investigators are heading to the scene to understand the exact causes and circumstances surrounding the event. Several hypotheses are analyzed.
The investigation is continuing.
