Following in the wake of the tornadoes that hit the United States on Friday, December 10, is to face, for miles, incredible destruction. Everywhere, houses are crumbling, and inhabitants seem lost in the midst of chaos and debris. In the aftermath of a disaster that wiped out entire buildings and struck five of its states, America is in shock.

At least 94 people are believed to have lost their lives, six of them while working in an Amazon warehouse hit by the tornado, according to a provisional toll. “The walls of the building crumbled outwards and inwards. Everything fell, it trapped the employees and they were crushed”, explains the daughter of Larry Virden, one of the victims, who was a truck driver. The toll is expected to grow even worse, especially in Kentucky. “It’s a disaster like no one among us has ever experienced”state governor Andy Beshear said on the evening of Saturday, December 11.
