(ATHENS) At least 59 people drowned in the sinking of a migrant boat off the Peloponnese peninsula in southwestern Greece, the Greek coast guard announced in a new report on Wednesday.
The boat on board which would be “hundreds” of migrants, according to a source in the Ministry of Migration, capsized 47 nautical miles from the Greek coast, in international waters while 104 people have been rescued so far .
