A white bike in memory of Normand Chatelois, a cyclist hit by a trucker last month, has been installed in the Villeray district where the 66-year-old man lost his life.
Friends, relatives and cyclists affected by the accident gathered at the corner of Boulevard Saint-Laurent and Rue De Liège.
A collision involving a dump truck occurred on November 9, while Normand Chatelois was cycling in this intersection in the afternoon. First in critical condition, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the truck had made a right turn onto de Liège. The cyclist got stuck under the truck. The driver suffered a nervous shock, but came out uninjured.
