Canadian Open | Canadian Nick Taylor sets course record

(Toronto) Canadian Nick Taylor set a course record on Saturday at the Canadian Open.

The golfer from Abbotsford, British Columbia, shot 63, nine under par at Oakdale Golf and Country Club.

He surpassed the mark of eight under par that England’s Tyrrell Hatton had equaled on Friday.

This spectacular performance, punctuated by five birdies on the first nine, allowed him to temporarily climb to the top of the standings with a cumulative record of 205, 11 under par.

He then held a two-stroke lead over Chinese Carl Yuan, the leader after the second round, and American Chesson Hadley.
