A driver finds himself in hot water after hitting a construction worker on Friday evening on Highway 15, southbound, in Blainville, in the Laurentians.
The accident happened around 10 p.m., when night had just fallen. The driver allegedly made an avoidance maneuver before heading towards a lane closed to traffic for work, thus persecuting the construction worker, according to information from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The seriously injured victim was taken to a hospital. However, we do not fear for his life. The two people in the vehicle were not injured, but police officers encountered them.
The driver was later arrested for dangerous driving causing injury. His vehicle would have been appraised. Investigators will be assigned to the scene to shed light on this event.
