(Saint-Jérôme) An investigation by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is underway following a fatal swerve on Highway 15 in Saint-Jérôme, in the Laurentians.
Emergency services were called to intervene early Saturday morning, around 5 a.m., because the vehicle left the road on this section of Highway 15, northbound.
“According to our initial information, the driver would have lost control of her vehicle to do one or more rolls and finally end up on the central reservation. The 34-year-old woman was ejected and suffered serious injuries, ”said Sergeant Catherine Bernard, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The victim was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“We have a police officer trained in collision investigation who came to the scene to clarify the causes and circumstances surrounding the event. […] All hypotheses are under study in this file. »
