The first week of Roland-Garros 2023 is almost over, and without the French all eliminated, the tension is growing on the courts. Not that of racquet stringing, but the one that makes your legs tremble and your brains roam as the final draw draws near. After the qualifications on Friday, among others, of Djokovic, Tsitsipas and Alcaraz for the men, and those of Stephens, Sabalenka and Svitolina for the women, other contenders come forward on Saturday, June 3.
In the women’s draw, world number Iga Swiatek faces China’s Xiyu Wang in the early afternoon, while Tunisian star Ons Jabeur challenges Olga Danilovic in stride. On the men’s side, Ruud, Rune, and Altamaier are expected, while Zverev will close the day against Tiafoe.
