“We have to fight the far right, but we don’t fight it with the words of the 90s and moral arguments, it doesn’t work anymore”, launched the Head of State in full Council of Ministers, Tuesday, May 30. Two days earlier, the head of government had considered, among other things, that the National Rally (RN) was the“heir of Pétain”.
According to Elisabeth Borne, there is not the shadow of a disagreement with Emmanuel Macron. “I am convinced that if we want to beat the far right, we need concrete results, too”she says. “I have a very fluid relationship with him”, she insists. After this episode, the tenant of Matignon especially wants to move on. “What matters to me is that we launch the public service for early childhood, that we launch the military programming law, that we adopt a customs plan, the rest is a storm in a glass of water”she assures.
