Singer Ginette Reno, who was to take on the honorary presidency of the Outaouais Film Festival, is forced to cancel her presence due to health problems.
“It is with regret that I must cancel my participation in the Outaouais Film Festival. Health problems of a joint nature make me suffer a lot and unfortunately prevent me from moving around. I was very happy to be honorary president of this beautiful event this year. I will be with you wholeheartedly and wish everyone a very good Festival! “said the 76-year-old artist in a press release.
Didier Farré, president of the FFO, said: “I am sorry for her and wish her a speedy recovery”.
Ginette Reno was to offer a lesson in cinema on June 3 and attend the presentation of the film Leolo by Jean-Claude Lauzon.
Note that on 24e Outaouais Film Festival, dedicated to the memory of Michel Côté, will take place from 1er to June 9 at Cinéma 9 in Gatineau and in several theaters in the region. More than 80 screenings from around thirty countries are on the programme.
For her part, Ginette Reno recently published her autobiography, entitled Ginette ; over 50,000 copies sold in less than a month. She also launched a new album in stride.
