“They are transmitters, I am a living example, said the Prime Minister. It was my 11 year old daughter who gave me the virus a few weeks ago. I was vaccinated, so I only had an extremely mild form, but there you go. So yes, immunization of children is a necessity. ” Jean Castex had tested positive for Covid on Tuesday 23 November.
Jean Castex clarified that the children presenting risks are given priority. These are those suffering from comorbidities or living in the entourage of a fragile person and who can be vaccinated, on a voluntary basis and in agreement with their parents or legal representatives, from December 15.
Jean Castex also returned to the measures devoted to hospitals. He recognizes that the crisis has revealed resources that are too weak for health. But he believes that the government has offered appropriate responses: “We put the package. It’s called the Ségur de la Santé. “He recognizes that the health crisis has highlighted the weaknesses of the system, but also the involvement of staff: “This crisis has revealed real knowledge for patient care, but it has also highlighted a number of difficulties. An underinvestment in health, an insufficient number of staff.”
