Swimsuit season is coming!

Swimwear season is upon us! And for the occasion, La Vie en Rose and Bikini Village are launching their new collections. In total, we offer 225 models of women’s and men’s jerseys. There’s something for everyone, one-piece, two-piece, bright colors, stripes, floral prints or even the classic and timeless black swimsuit. There are also this season some models with embossed fabrics, embossed and ribbed fabrics. For men, swim shorts are worn at mid-thigh, the fabrics are light, the colors are vibrant and the patterns varied, with palm trees, cacti, pineapples and flowers!

François Roberge, CEO of La Vie en Rose, wants to rediscover the swimsuit, associated with holidays, the sun, the swimming pool, the beach or the lakeside.

François Roberge, CEO La Vie en Rose

“It’s important, the swimsuit, because it is synonymous with beautiful moments spent with family, friends or lovers, at the water’s edge, on vacation. You want to feel good in your jersey, hence the importance of choosing it well, he said in an interview. People are starting to travel again, they want to renew their swimwear wardrobe. »

Sign of the times, more and more swimsuits are now made with recycled fabrics. “There is a culture change. There are new eco-friendly materials and many swimsuits are made from recycled plastic bottles. We will continue on this path. »

La Vie en Rose and Bikini Village’s headquarters opened last March and is located in the former Christie factory where Oreo cookies were made for decades.

“It’s a page of history that is turning! All employees of the two brands, Bikini Village and La Vie en Rose, are under the same roof. We are Canada’s largest swimwear retailer. »

Seaweed, river water and wheat fields inspired Cindy Cantin in the creation of her new collection of Kamouraska bags. Based in the Villeray district of Montreal, the designer and entrepreneur travels regularly to the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, trips that she says have an influence on her life, her mood and her creativity. “Realizing that past Lévis, the road that runs along the river with its salty air, its timeless country landscapes, its birds of prey that I observe now and the mountains in the distance on the other bank soothes me and touches me every time. It’s a stark and almost shocking contrast to my Montreal neighborhood life that I love so much. It is above all through the colors that the spirit of the Bas-Saint-Laurent is transposed into its new creations: the “moss” color inspired by seaweed, the “golden hour” reflecting wheat fields, the leather “lichen » gray like stone and « river » leather, like the waters of the St. Lawrence. All Cantin bags are made in Quebec from full-grain leather.

Tested and approved : Uomo Acquawhat to expect ?

Uomo Acquamarine variation ofUomo

Less than a year after the release ofUomo signed Guess, with a fairly classic fern accord, the brand is throwing itself into the water again with a first version of this eau de toilette. Code name : Aqua (beware of confusion, Valentino offering a perfume with a very similar name). There is a fern base with a woody tendency, but more oriented towards marine freshness – the avowed aim being to sing an ode to the Mediterranean. At the opening, lemon and cucumber are mouth-watering, with a discreet hint of cardamom, sliding towards juniper and sage, which we find in the basic version. Another component taken up for the base notes, the moss, which this time has an iodized touch, all resting on a rather masculine sandalwood. Eau de toilette for the general public, it will be aimed at freshwater sailors who do not wish to take risks this summer; even if it means being carried away by the currents of triviality. The aquatic freshness is there and will go well with hot and sunny days. Like its predecessor, its honest quality/price ratio comes at the expense of the unimpressive fit.

In large drugstore chains and on the Guess site, $79 for 100 ml
