After more than 24 hours of anguish, little Eya was found in Denmark. His father and an accomplice were arrested. She had been kidnapped Thursday, May 25 in the morning in front of her school in Fontaine in Isère.
Nearly 36 hours after her abduction, Eya, 10, was found around 6 p.m. on Friday May 26. It was the public prosecutor of Grenoble (Isère) who made the announcement: “Eya has just been found in Denmark with her father and his accomplice.” This arrest took place in Roedbyhavn. “They called me the police and told me (…) I will get her”indicated the mother on the airwaves of RTL at the end of the day.
Judicial investigation opened against the father
Eya had been kidnapped by her father on Thursday May 25 in Fontaine (Isère). She had been kidnapped outside the school by her father and an accomplice. At the end of the day, the kidnapping alert is triggered, broadcast on television and radio, but the investigators already think that the father is abroad. Everything accelerated on Friday afternoon, when a European arrest warrant was issued. A judicial investigation has been opened for aggravated violence against the mother of the child. It is not known when Eya will be back in France.
