Eleven Indigenous artists revisit a piece by Serge Fiori

Eleven artists each representing an Aboriginal community will revisit a piece by Serge Fiori as part of the KWE! festival in Quebec City.


An adaptation of the song A musician among many others will be interpreted in the 11 Aboriginal languages ​​present in Quebec during a major show scheduled for Place d’Youville on June 21.

In a video posted on the event’s Facebook page, Serge Fiori said he was very touched by the project. “It’s as if I wrote it for this cause,” he says of the well-known passage: ” Where did all these people go who had something to tell? We gave birth to someone, maybe we should listen to them. »

The artists who will participate in this collective performance are: Allan and Chris from Violent ground, Quentin Condo, Édith Bélanger, Sandrine Masse, Sarah Levasseur, Joey Partrige, Paul Napash, Élise Boucher from Gonzague, Charles Penosway, Skanaie:’a Deer , Mathieu McKenzie.

Kwe Festival! takes place in Quebec from June 16 to 18 as well as June 21.
