In Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), Latifa, a town hall employee, took out a consumer loan a week ago precisely to be able to pay for part of her shopping. “I took 1,000 euros to finish the month or two months. The salary is not enough, everything is too expensive, we can’t do it”she laments. In a household appliance store, the number of credits jumped 15% in one year for emergency purchases.
