The environmental deputy of Indre-et-Loire, Charles Fournier, denounces in a press release sent to franceinfo “acts of intimidation” and an “attack directly targeting employees and volunteers“.
“This afternoon in Tours the LGBTI center suffered an explosive device launch. Fortunately, the employees present were not injured.“, indicates the prefect on Twitter. For Charles Fournier “a course was crossed with the jet of a device comprising acid and aluminum“. The Green MP went there to “note the concern and anger of the members of the association as well as their determination“.
The prefect of Indre-et-Loire Patrice Latron and the mayor of Tours Emmanuel Denis also went there to express their support. “A device that was made to hurt. These people who attack this center (…) now incur heavy criminal charges. Because now there is an attack on people. I think they better stop“, underlined the Prefect.
“Local authorities will mobilize to protect the association and its members“says Charles Fournier who calls on the inhabitants of Tours to show their solidarity during the Pride March to be held on June 17 in Tours”to say no to LGBTIphobia“.
