A dozen activists from the Association for the taxation of financial transactions and for citizen action (Attac) denounced the presence of a mega-yacht 78 meters long, in Cannes.
The banners of Attac militants were confiscated and two demonstrators were arrested.
- This Sunday, May 21: a posthumous film by Jean-Luc Godard
Jean-Luc Godard, sacred monster of cinema who died last year, is honored in the Cannes Classics section. In addition to the screening of several of his films, an unpublished short film will be broadcast. Presented as “the ultimate gesture of cinema” from the winner of a special Palme d’or in 2018, the film is called “Funny wars”.
On the same day, another well-known director will present his latest film. Eight years after his last film, Frenchman Michel Gondry present “The book of solutions” at the Quinzaine des cinéastes in world premiere.
