An expedition at sea with the Tara laboratory boat, the conflict in Ukraine and jerseys to fight against homophobia: this is the program of “Salut l’info!” this week.
Every week, the podcast “Salut l’info!” tells the news to children aged 7 to 11, a program from franceinfo radio and Astrapi magazine. In each episode, the children take the floor and co-present the program with the journalists. On the microphone this week: Liwenn, 9 years old.
French journalist killed in Ukraine
This week the show is again talking about the war in Ukraine as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky came to meet with several European leaders this week. “To tell them ‘help'”, wants to know Liwenn. Franceinfo journalist Estelle explains everything to young listeners. Because the war continues to make victims, among the civilians but also the journalists: on May 9, Arman Soldin, a French journalist, died during a bombardment.
The news is also the day of the fight against homophobia. On this occasion, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 football players had to wear a rainbow colored jersey, in support of this cause, but some refused. We talk about it in this episode.

Tara, a boat to study pollution at sea
It is a laboratory boat that criss-crosses the seas of Europe to study pollution: the Tara mission boat left for a two-year journey along the coasts of 20 countries. Franceinfo journalist Anne went to interview two members of the crew: Martin, captain on the ship, and Julie, scientist on board. They answer questions from CM2 students at the Etienne Dolet school in Alfortville in the Paris region.
In our section “We tell each other everything”, it is Joaquim who speaks. “What annoys me is when people don’t agree with what I want to do”, he says at the microphone of the show. With the help of our psychologist Nadège, the show gives him tips to better manage this show that sometimes overwhelms him.
On the “Salut l’info!” answering machine, children can also leave their jokes on 01 47 79 40 00. They may have a chance of getting along on the show, as is the case for three children this week and their inventive and funny jokes.
Good listening !
