He is immortal and still keeps fit, even at 80 and having open heart surgery. Indeed, in March 2023, Michel Drucker had to go to the pool table to have surgery at the level “of the mitral valve” as our colleagues from the Parisian this Tuesday, May 16. After several months of silence, the host of “Happy Sunday” finally took the floor and gave some news to RTLthis Thursday, May 18.
If Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez, the program director of France Televisions, was rather reassuring about the state of health of Michel Drucker, the news was however not encouraging. At least, as far as a return to the air before the “end of season”. The host’s state of health will not allow him to return before September and the main party has confirmed this himself.

Michel Drucker will make his comeback … but not right away
“I will be, at the very beginning of September, on the air for a new season of ‘Vivement dimanche'”he proudly promised to RTL before thanking the bosses of France Televisions for their support in this complicated period: “Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez and Delphine Ernotte (director of the antennas of France Télévisions and president of France Télévisions, editor’s note) supported me a lot during all these months, they know that I have a mind of steel”.
In fact, the emblematic host of the public service will have time to regain strength. Especially since he will be preparing for another important event: the Paris Olympics in 2024. Indeed, he will be part of the sports teams that will run the event to the delight of the fans. Hoping that he comments on great performances and many victories from French athletes!
