A man in his twenties was found dead, injured by projectiles from a firearm, during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.
Around 3 a.m., the police were called about an unconscious man near a business on boulevard Henri-Bourassa, near avenue de Bois-de-Boulogne. “The man was already dead when the ambulances arrived,” said Constable Jeanne Drouin, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). The victim is 28, she added.
This is the third firearm homicide to occur on SPVM territory this year.
There are no arrests at this time. Investigators are heading to analyze the scene and shed light on this event.
This is the second murder in Montreal in less than 24 hours. The spouse of one of the sons of the late mafioso Moreno Gallo, Claudia Iacono, was shot dead while she was driving, in the middle of rush hour on Tuesday afternoon, in the Côte-des-Neiges district.
