A patient who allegedly had the bad idea to show up for his magnetic resonance imaging with a metal sex toy in his body suffered severe injuries after the butt plug was propelled into his liver.
“Never wear a butt plug to your date.[Imagerie par résonance magnétique] MRI. My god…”, reacted a user on Twitter on Tuesday by sharing the x-ray of a patient, according to what reported indy100, a branch of “The Independent”.
According to the post, which had reached more than 13.9 million views on Monday, the patient in question is suing the sex toy company that allegedly sold him the product as “100% silicone” despite having a metal core.
“To the dismay of the customer, the butt plug actually has a metal core. The butt plug accelerated at the speed of sound into the client’s chest cavity. […] The client survived with serious injuries,” the post read.
According to the British media, the wearing of metallic objects is prohibited during MRI since the magnetic force produced during this type of examination would be 1000 times stronger than a refrigerator magnet.
If the publication generated many reactions, reminding many of the importance of removing any metallic object before an MRI, some Internet users believed in a joke that would have gone wrong.
“I’m glad he’s alive, but I can’t help but think that the patient was intentionally trying to shock the doctors who were doing his MRI as a joke and that it went horribly wrong,” he said. one of them on Twitter.
