A team from France Télévisions followed Ukrainian soldiers on a front in the Donetsk region. While part of the village is held by the Russians, a satellite antenna has been installed in order to stay in contact with the command.

The use of drones

Their hideout of the day is located in a building. “There is a place to hide. It is difficult for the enemy to spot us here. And we have access from all directions”, says a Ukrainian soldier. These men and their machines are one of the keys to the great counter-offensive and the eyes of the commanders who direct the attacks. To avoid detection, the soldiers maneuver the drones away from the windows. They zoom in on the surrounding countryside to spot Russian soldiers and their equipment.
