We can be friends in everyday life, but not share the same ideas. Whether political, religious, or even sporting. And Gilles Verdez and Benjamin Castaldi are proof of that. Indeed, the two columnists of “TPMP” never share the same opinion on the topics discussed on the show and this once again did not miss this Thursday, May 11. In particular when Cyril Hanouna wished to evoke the controversy linked to a college in Alsace.
The establishment had to rebroadcast the film “Tomboy” to 6th graders. However, the students’ parents refused. “This feature film released in 2011 raises the question of the genre […] but the parents of pupils accused the film of being able to endanger the psychological development of their child. The Catholic establishment has therefore decided to cancel the broadcast so as not to create more problems”, recalled the voiceover of “TPMP” to introduce the topic of discussion.

Benjamin Castaldi understands the parents of students
The opportunity for Benjamin Castaldi to take the side of the parents and give his arguments. “Listen, it’s obviously yes (agree with the parents: editor’s note). It’s a private Catholic college, the parents made a choice. So I don’t necessarily agree with this ban, but I understand that the parents who made this choice are disturbed by things…”he explained at first before being cut by Gilles Verdez: “Really very gently there!”.
The intervention was not appreciated by the companion of Aurore Aleman. “Oh, you shut up! Even if I find it regrettable… I understand that parents who have chosen a Catholic high school…”he tried to restart before being cut again, this time by Cyril Hanouna: “How many times are you actually going to say it?” “Oh, fuck it!”finally resigned the columnist.
Gilles Verdez and Benjamin Castaldi exchange insults and bottles of water
A few minutes later, Gilles Verdez gave his opinion. With a very different opinion from that of his colleague: “It’s absolutely scandalous what happened, it’s censorship! The question of gender…”, “I preferred Casta’!” then let go of Cyril Hanouna to make the sauce rise.
“Ah, did you hear that?”, Benjamin Castaldi proudly asked Gilles Verdez. Probably the drop too many. “Given the performance you did, shut your mouth, have a little dignity. I’m going to tell you Benjamin, you know I love you…”got carried away the companion of Fatou before adding: “The minimum of dignity would have been for you to leave the set! And go home! Get out if you’re worthy! The exit is this way Castaldi!”
The exchange finally ended with the throwing of a water bottle from Aurore Aleman’s companion, who splashed Danielle Moreau instead of the target person. All with a good laugh to relieve the pressure.
