Reindustrialisation: for LFI deputy Alexis Corbière, Emmanuel Macron’s objective is to “change the conversation” in relation to pensions

Thursday, May 11, Alexis Corbière, deputy La France insoumise (LFI) for Seine-Saint-Denis, was the guest of “4 Truths” on France 2. While Emmanuel Macron said he wanted to accelerate the reindustrialization of France, in an interview with the magazine Challenges published on the media site on Wednesday evening, Alexis Corbière declared that“Obviously, we must reindustrialize France, we must put an end to the spiral of deindustrialization that has taken place since the 2000s”.

“A president who practices the Coué method”

Returning to this interview with the Head of State, the LFI deputy indicated: “We have the impression that he is a president who practices the Coué method.” Alexis Corbière estimated that “the goal” of this interview was “policy”. According to MP LFI, Emmanuel Macron’s objective is to “change the conversation”. “We hardly talk about pensions anymore, while we are still in a movement” to challenge the reform, he continued.

While a bill from the Liot group aimed at repealing the pension reform must be examined in the National Assembly on June 8, Alexis Corbière said: “We can win”. “It would be a democratic and political thunderclap”he added. The LFI deputy called on the French to be “many” in the streets during the next day of action of the intersyndicale scheduled for June 6, “because it is also the social temperature that will allow us to have a majority on June 8” on this text.
