(New-Richmond) The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is investigating a fatal accident that occurred on a farm in New Richmond in Gaspésie.
Emergency services were called at around 10.45pm on Saturday following the discovery of an unresponsive man on farmland on Cochrane Road.
“A 29-year-old man was found trapped under a farm tractor in a field, probably following the tractor overturning on a slope. The man was transported to the hospital, where he was declared dead, ”said Sergeant Stéphane Tremblay, spokesperson for the SQ.
“A patrol officer trained in collision investigation went to the scene to analyze the scene,” he said.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
The SQ investigation is continuing.
