THURSO | No member of the organization of the Canadian was present at the ceremony of the inauguration of the Guy-Lafleur highway, Thursday, in Thurso. The reason ? No one was invited by the government authorities.

Usually, the president of former players, Réjean Houle, represents the Habs in several events of all kinds during a year. That of the inauguration of the Guy-Lafleur highway, his former teammate, could have been one.

The Prime Minister’s press secretary confirmed that the Canadian had not been invited to the ceremony of his former player.
“It is a government and family announcement, replied Ewan Sauve in an email. The toponymic designation is the responsibility of the Government of Quebec in collaboration with the municipalities.
