Three Palestinians killed in Israeli operation in occupied West Bank

Three Palestinians, including the suspects in the murder of three British Israelis, were killed on Thursday May 4 in an operation by Israeli security forces in Nablus, in the occupied West Bank. “This morning, during a joint operation by Shin Beth, the army and the police, Hamas militants Hassan Ktnani and Maed Mitzsri were killed. These terrorists had murdered Léa (Lucy), Maia and Rina Dee on April 7 in a shooting attack near Hamra”, in the West Bank, the Interior Ministry said.

The Shin Beth, Israeli Internal Security Service, added that one of their accomplices was also killed during the raid. Shortly before, the Palestinian Ministry of Health had reported the death of three “martyrs” Palestinians in an Israeli security force operation in Nablus.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has seen a wave of increased violence since January. The number of Palestinians killed since the start of the year now stands at 105. Nineteen Israelis, one Ukrainian and one Italian have been killed in the same period, according to an AFP count compiled from official Israeli and Palestinian sources. These statistics include, on the Palestinian side, combatants and civilians, including minors, and, on the Israeli side, mostly civilians, including minors and three members of the Arab minority.
