In THE courses in vocational high schools, internships in companies should, from september, be remunerated. 620,000 students shave concerned. This is the case of this terminal class in boilermaking. Istudents pass, during their schooling, 22 weeks on internship and most are unpaid. “It would particularly motivate me, I know that behind I could have fun”explains a high school student.

Up to 100 euros per week of gratuity

At the start of the school year, internships in the 1st year of CAP and Bac pro should be paid 50 euros, 75 euros in the second year, and up to 100 euros for students in the final bac pro. The state should fully support these gratuities. Estimated cost: 1 billion euros. Still insufficient for the union SNUEP-FSU. “On values ​​the time spent outside school, and we do not value thewhole twork done in high schools”emphasizes Sigrid Gérardin, co-secretary general. For the eleves of terminale, these new remunerations could be capped at 1,200 euros per year.
