The new wave scene is taking a hell of a beating. Steve bronski, the co-founder of the iconic British band Bronski Beat, is died at the age of 61. It is Jimmy Somerville, former singer of the musical formation, who confirmed the news on Thursday, December 9, 2021 on his Twitter account. “Sad to hear of Steve Bronski’s death, he wrote. The Bronski Beat group marked an entire generation with the help of unforgettable hits, including the famous Why. Smalltown boy, released in 1984, had even been remixed by Arnaud Rebotini in 2017 and had integrated the soundtrack of the film 120 beats per minute, by Robin Campillo. And for good reason.
