(Montreal) A pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision with a motorist in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville, in Montreal, Monday afternoon.
The 66-year-old man was crossing Papineau Avenue from east to west, south of Fleury Est Street, according to information collected by the Montreal Police Service (SPVM).
He was transported to a hospital center by Urgences-Santé. He would have suffered major upper body injuries and his condition would be considered critical, said SPVM spokesperson Jeanne Drouin.
The 19-year-old motorist was traveling northbound on Papineau Avenue when he collided with the pedestrian around 3:30 p.m.
Collision investigators were dispatched to the scene to establish the circumstances surrounding this event.
