Harrison Ford Confirms He Will Never Play Indiana Jones Again

At 80, Harrison Ford says he’s ready to put away his Indiana Jones whip and hat. In an interview with the site Total Moviesthe legendary actor has confirmed that the film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will mark his last appearance as the famous archaeologist.

“It’s the last film in the franchise and it’s the last time I play this character. I expect this to be the last time Indiana Jones appears in a movie,” said the actor, who will celebrate his 81st birthday next July.

Harrison Ford also took the opportunity to point out that he was not involved in the Indiana Jones TV series project which would currently be in development for the Disney + platform.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be released on June 30 after being presented at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18. Harrison Ford says he had a lot of fun shooting this fifth installment of the popular saga created by Steven Spielberg (the new film was directed by James Mangold, however).

“I wanted to make this film for 10 years and we finally found a moment where we could all commit to making it. It was a very happy moment for me,” the actor told Total Movies.
