A sixty-year-old in a “semi-conscious” state was fished out of the St. Lawrence River on Sunday morning.
The man was seen around 10:40 a.m. in the river near the bank overlooking the Havre park, crossed by a street bearing the same name, in Saint-Lambert.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers were undertaken on the sexagenarian who was quickly transported to a hospital center, said a spokesperson for the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL) on Sunday.
A perimeter was erected and investigators as well as the SPAL forensic identification service went on site to clarify the case.
