War in Ukraine | Ukrainian strikes kill at least two in Russian village

(Moscow) At least two people were killed in a Ukrainian missile attack on a Russian village near the border with Ukraine, the regional governor said on Sunday.

Several Ukrainian missiles hit the village of Suzemka, located about ten kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border, said Alexander Bogomaz, governor of Bryansk Oblast.

“Due to the strike inflicted by Ukrainian nationalists, two civilians were unfortunately killed,” he said on Telegram.

“A residential building was completely destroyed, and two other houses were partially destroyed,” he added.

On Friday, several Russian cruise missile strikes, the first major since early March, had hit several Ukrainian cities and left 26 dead.

And Saturday, a drone attack caused a gigantic fire in an oil depot in Crimea annexed by Moscow, the day after Kyiv announced that its preparations for a spring offensive were almost complete.
