Drug trafficking knows no borders. A few days ago in Majorca, in the Balearic Islands, traffickers chased by the police ended up stranded on a beach.
It’s a scene worthy of an American action movie and yet it takes place in the Balearic Islands, off the coast of Spain. On a video, we see on the left of the image drug traffickers from Africa. They were spotted by the Spanish Civil Security. The chase begins in the open sea, a few hundred meters from the coast. The traffickers finally abandon their boat on a dream beach and flee in front of stunned tourists.
1,200 kg of cannabis found
A cooler was present at the time of the incident. “There were three men running in front of us (…), there was a helicopter looking for them and flying very low”, she says. Despite the helicopter, the men continued their race for a few tens of meters, before being arrested near a hotel. Arriving from the Netherlands, a family had just arrived when they witnessed the scene. “I’m a little angry because there are only families here, with children, things like that shouldn’t happen”, laments the mother of the family. The police eventually found the 1,200 kg of cannabis.
