Sixteen years they’ve been waiting for this. The Marseillais won in Lyon in Ligue 1 for the first time since 2007, Sunday April 23 (1-2), thanks to an own goal from Malo Gusto, at the very last second of the game. Anthony Lopes had however delayed the deadline, in disgusting the Lyonnais with six stops, but the goalkeeper was cheated on a twist of fate, after a scramble from his defenders. Before that, Cengiz Ünder had achieved a highlight for OM at the end of the first period (44e), then Alexandre Lacazette equalized (68e).
This narrow victory allows the Marseillais to take second place in the championship from RC Lens, while the Lyonnais do not take advantage of the missteps of Lille and Rennes to get closer to the qualifying places for the European Cups. They are seventh, six points from fifth place.
