(Stuttgart) Poland’s Iga Swiatek, world No.1, won the Stuttgart tournament for the second consecutive year, which kicks off the clay-court season in Europe, by dominating her first pursuer in the WTA rankings, Aryna Sabalenka, in two sets on Sunday. (6-3, 6-4).
Double winner of Roland-Garros (2020, 2022), Swiatek signs at 21 his 13e success on the circuit, the second in Stuttgart after having already dominated Aryna Sabalenka on German clay last year in the final (6-2, 6-2).
