The pathos of Drainville | The duty

During a press conference held following the announcement of the first-class burial of the initial highway tunnel project between Quebec and Lévis, the Minister of Education, Bernard Drainville, had difficulty in holding back his tears in profusely apologizing to his constituents for not honoring his commitment.

I have no doubt that the minister’s pride took a hit, but it seems to me that as a minister and a CAQ deputy, he should have kept a little embarrassment and accepted the blow with dignity by standing behind the party line. It is a simple question of elementary ministerial solidarity!
