and now M.Pokora gets carried away against Elon Musk!

On October 28, 2022, Elon Musk officially became the new CEO of Twitter after months of negotiations and after having paid 44 billion dollars. The day after his arrival at the head of the social network, the famous billionaire unveiled the list of changes he intends to make on the platform. Starting with the monetization of “certified” accounts to, according to him, avoid identity theft.

For the little “blue sticker” to remain affixed next to your name, thus proving that your account is “official” and certified, you must now pay a monthly subscription billed at nearly 8 dollars, or €7.70. per month. But this button is no longer reserved for celebrities, famous companies or big brands, since anyone who pays this amount monthly can now access “Twitter Blue”, and this since November 10th.

Despite the criticism, Elon Musk justified this choice by his desire to abolish “the current system of lords and peasants, between those who have the blue tick and those who do not”. Unfortunately, this new option quickly created chaos on the social network, with anonymous people having decided to pay the subscription and pretend to be celebrities by simply adding photos found on the internet as a profile picture…

Twitter: Mr. Pokora gives a big rant after losing his certification
“Elon Musk killed the device of pellets which made it possible to orient oneself more or less according to the reliability of the information. Today, his idea is to say: ‘If you pay, you are visible.’ Regardless of your expertise and legitimacy.” had thus analyzed Tristan Mendès France.

Gradually, celebrities who have not paid for this subscription have had their blue badge withdrawn. This is particularly the case of Mr. Pokora who has just uttered a rant about it… on Twitter directly: “Ah yeah they really took away the blue macaron from us, the crevards. After 13 years of good and loyal service to help popularize their social network… What class” he said in annoyance.

Something to surprise most of its subscribers who reacted to this message: “It’s eggs, you’ve been there since 2009, you’ve charred the network as well”, “It’s a shame to remove the blue logos all because the person didn’t pay…”, “No other Matt Pokora will have 5 million followers nor your talent it should be fine”, “Really anything to remove the blue logos especially it helped to know whose certified account was because many pretend to be celebrities among others…” can we for example read. Despite the anger of millions of users and boycott threats, Elon Musk seems to be sticking to his guns and has no intention of withdrawing this new paid system.
