The editorial staff of BuzzFeed News, a symbol of new media on the Internet, will close as part of a savings plan, BuzzFeed director Jonah Peretti announced Thursday in an internal memo of which AFP has knowledge.
“We are reducing our workforce by approximately 15% today…and beginning the process of closing BuzzFeed News,” Mr. Peretti wrote in a memo to staff.
