Le film d’animation Élémentaire clôturera la 76e édition du Festival de Cannes. La projection en avant-première mondiale du 27e long métrage de Pixar se tiendra le 27 mai prochain sur la Croisette.
Présenté hors compétition, Élémentaire est le quatrième film du studio affilié à Disney à être sélectionné pour l’évènement, après Là-haut, Sens dessus dessous et Âme.
« Alors que nous sortons tous de notre cocon pandémique et que nous nous retrouvons dans les salles […]it is a joy and an honor to see Pixar back on the Croisette,” said Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter in a statement.
The film, directed by Peter Sohn, takes place in Element City, a city inhabited by inhabitants of fire, water, earth and air. We follow Flam, a strong and lively young woman, who, in contact with Flack, an amusing and sentimental man, will question her beliefs about the world.
In the original version, elementalLeah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie lend their voices to the two main characters.
Elementary will hit theaters on June 16.
