The object of the study carried out by a student at the National Center of Prehistory (CNP) in Périgueux is to find out whether the traces she is studying are of human or animal nature. To do this, she will photograph them from several angles and at different light intensities. These traces will appear more or less clearly, depending on their exposure during the shooting, these different points of view will allow the in-depth study of the data. All its measurements and photos can be superimposed, the information and readings will be cross-referenced in a precise way. Computing and 3D software also allow scientists and researchers to work remotely and in close collaboration, a real breakthrough for research and the study of prehistory!
