The animated series red ketchupinspired by the cult character from the comic strip published by Éditions de la Pastèque, will be broadcast on Télétoon la nuit from Thursday, April 20.
Produced by Jacques Bilodeau (Sphère Animation) and directed by Martin Villeneuve, the series is modeled on the albums of Pierre Fournier and Réal Godbout. Charged with the most perilous missions, the FBI agent Red Ketchup, a colossus with red eyes and orange hair, takes all the risks necessary to achieve his ends, even if it usually involves collateral damage. Considering him a burden, the FBI always sends him on a distant mission hoping he never comes back — but Red Ketchup always comes back.
The cast includes the voices of Benoît Brière (Red Ketchup), France Castel (Sally Ketchup), Gabriel Lessard (Peter Plywood), Alain Zouvi (Dr K), Widemir Normil (Chef Sullivan), Émilie Bibeau (Olga Dynamo) and Martin Villeneuve (Bill Bélisle).
The first 10 episodes of the season – which has 20 – will be broadcast on Télétoon at night every Thursday evening at 10 p.m., until June, while the following 10 will be broadcast in the fall. The English version will be shown on Adult Swim on April 23.
