Unknown until very recently, Rose Super Tranquille, electro-pop singer and political science student in Poitiers, will find herself on the Printemps de Bourges stage in a few days (April 18 to 23, 2023). His universe intimate and his texts, both simple and poetic, seduced the public during the selections to participate in the festival.
She was selected among 80 artists in Poitou-Charentes thanks to the iNOUïS device of Printemps de Bourges, which identifies and selects new artistic talents. ” I didn’t think at all when I applied that I would be taken because I didn’t do it very diligently and there, the fact that there are people who trust me, that touches me enormously and I can not wait. It’s a dream come true“, says Rose.
Music as an escape
From the first texts written at the age of seven and the cello learned at the conservatory, the singer has been immersed in music since she was little. Over the years, she continued to compose, produce and sing from her bedroom. ” It’s really my way of externalizing all the stuff that I feel. I’m very sensitive and emotional so it’s my way of staying sane in this hyper violent world.“, she explains.
The artist uses these moments when she needs to exteriorize, to transform them into finished pieces: ” When you have inspiration, it’s an air, words that come to you. But sometimes you just need to put something out there and you haven’t put the words to it or the melody yet. So what I do is I work, I do improvisation and from the moment I have a little thing that I like I stick to it and from there I weave, I weave…“
