The Toronto Blue Jays earned their sixth victory this season with a 12-11 triumph over the Angels in Los Angeles on Sunday.

John Schneider’s men got off to a rocky start, giving up six runs in the first four innings, including three in the opening inning.
Toronto opened the valves in innings six and seven scoring ten runs.
The Angels had not said their last word and they scored three runs in the ninth to force an extra inning.
Toronto outfielders Kevin Kiermaier and George Springer each drove in a run in the 10th inning to guide their team to victory.
Jordan Romano ended hostilities in the 10th inning.
Third baseman Matt Chapman continued his strong start to the season. Number 26 hit a grand slam in the sixth inning and had two more hits in five appearances at the plate.
Angels players Hunter Renfroe, Shohei Othani, Logan O’Hoppe and Brandon Drury each homered during the matchup.
Toronto will have the day off before returning to action on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers. This is the home opener for the Jays at a Rogers Center that underwent an offseason facelift.
The Rays are still undefeated
The Tampa Bay Rays earned their ninth win in as many games this season with a convincing 11-0 triumph over the Oakland Athletics at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Wander Franco, Brandon Lowe (a grand slam) and Harold Ramirez each hit a long ball in the game for the Rays.
Locals starter Drew Rasmussen was solid during the game. In seven full innings of activity, the right-hander struck out eight batters and allowed only one hit.
Ramon Laureano was the only Californian team player to hit the ball safely during the game. The center fielder slammed a double down the right in the second inning.
The Rays are currently off to the best start to the campaign since the Kansas City Royals had nine straight wins at the start of the season.
Red Sox sweep streak against Tigers
The Boston Red Sox continued their momentum by claiming a third straight victory Sunday afternoon by a score of 4 to 1 against the Tigers at Comerica Park in Detroit.
Triston Casas led the charge for the visitors on offense. The 23-year-old ended any hopes the Tigers had of coming back into the game by hitting a bombshell over 401 feet from home plate in the ninth inning. Casas also drove in a run on a double in the second inning.
Boston will play a four-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday.
