Notice to people with allergies. The National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA) places 61 departments on red alert for the Easter weekend, from Friday April 7 to Monday April 10, due to the spread of birch, hornbeam, cypress and ash pollen.. “It’s not only unpleasant, it can sometimes be a little more serious”, warns on franceinfo Sophie Silcret-Grieu, allergist and member of the association asthma and allergies.

Note that, according to the RNSA, people allergic to birch pollen are particularly concerned, since 48 departments in the north and east of France are placed on red alert. People sensitive to charming pollens will also have to be vigilant, since 29 departments in the center and north of France are placed on red alert.

Finally, four departments (La Manche, Calvados, Haute-Savoie and Bas-Rhin) are also concerned by a red alert because of the spread of ash pollen. Only one department, Vaucluse, is on red alert because of the spread of pollen from cupressaceaesof the cypress family.
