A reinforcement of weight for the end of the Tournament. The French Rugby Federation (FFR) unveiled, on Wednesday April 5, the list of 37 players summoned by Gaëlle Mignot and David Oritz to prepare for the last three matches of the Six Nations Tournament, against Scotland (April 16 in Vannes), Wales (April 23 in Grenoble) and England (April 29 in Twickenham). The XV of France notably records the return of the third line Romane Ménager. The Montpellier with 54 selections had left the first gathering in mid-March and missed the first two meetings, won in Italy (22-12) and Ireland (53-3).
“We will be able to count on the return of Romane Ménager who finds his place in the group” appreciated Gaëlle Mignot in the FFR press release. Grenoble’s Téani Feleu, called to replace the French number 8, therefore leaves the group and her sister Manaé, holder in the first two games, is present in the group of forwards.
First game at home against Scotland
Also note the call of the first line Annaëlle Deshayes. Indisputable holder of the XV of France, the Stade Bordelais player was suspended until the end of the Tournament after her red card received against Ireland on Saturday. But she could see her penalty reduced and return against England on the final day.
“This last sequence of three matches should allow us to validate the achievements of the first matches by integrating new aspects”for his part analyzed David Ortiz. “An essential element will be the public: we will finally be able to play in France in
stadiums with full stands.” First meeting in front of the French public, in Grenoble, on Sunday April 16 against the Scots.
