A Florent Pagny in great shape, but still sick. Even if he is not completely cured, the 61-year-old artist still keeps a smile and the joy of living. Invited this Sunday, April 2 in “8:30 p.m., Sunday”at Laurent Delahousse, the singer again mentioned his illness but also his autobiography “Pagny by Florent” to be published on April 5, 2023 by Fayard editions. A book in which, at the start, he was not to mention his lung cancer, which he has been fighting since January 2022. But life has decided otherwise.
This is why, through the 528 pages in which he evokes his Patagonia, his companion Azucena, or even his problems related to the tax authorities, Florent Pagny obviously returns at length to his illness. An illness that reduced his projects to nothing for a few months, as Cyril Hanouna recalled on “TPMP” this Monday, April 3. Indeed, the host received the CEO of Fayard editions on the daily newspaper of C8 to discuss the health of the artist and the release of his book. The opportunity for him to take up some important passages of the book.

Florent Pagny’s tour mentioned on “TPMP”
“I’m going to have to recalculate my whole program. Or rather even forget it, to have only one thing in mind: to heal. Killing the tumor will be my only agenda. In a snap of my fingers, everything else is become secondaryrelayed “Baba” by taking up the words of Florent Pagny before adding: “I was surfing on vague ideas of future life projects. Here I am again on Earth. I am no longer a singer, I am no longer a dreamer, I am a man and what is more a man whose health is threatened. I just got slapped in the face“.
The 61-year-old artist also writes: “I’m sick and it’s not a metaphor, I have to solve this problem. The tour? Cancelled. The release date of this book? We’ll see later. The different projects? We don’t talk about it anymore”. “The tour is not canceled huh!” then rectified Isabelle Saporta once the passage from the autobiography of Florent Pagny read by Cyril Hanouna. “No, but that’s what he said in the book at the time!”then rightly defended himself, the host before the CEO of Fayard editions clarified: “I know, but it’s because if he’s listening to you tonight… he really, really wants to do it!” A last statement which will have the merit of reassuring the singer’s fans. These same fans, who hope to see the interpreter of “My freedom of thought” as soon as possible on stage, and in great shape!
